Camarillo, after November 2024
Camarillo rebuild electrical.
The Mountain Fire burned through Camarillo Heights and the hills toward Somis and Moorpark in November 2024. County Line Electric wires the houses being rebuilt there, for builders and owner-builders, with the right permit office, Edison service and backup power designed in.

The situation
Ventura County permits, Edison service, and hillside lots.
The Mountain Fire of November 2024, driven by Santa Ana winds, destroyed 243 structures, many of them homes in Camarillo Heights. The County of Ventura and the City of Camarillo run separate rebuild permit processes, and the address decides which applies: the Ventura County Building and Safety Division for unincorporated parcels, the City of Camarillo inside city limits. Southern California Edison serves both and can de-energize the hillside circuits in wind events.
A rebuilt house is a new house electrically: temporary power on the cleared lot, a new Edison service sized for the house as it will be, a complete rough-in to current code, and a generator or battery planned into the service. County Line wires Camarillo rebuilds as the electrical subcontractor to builders and directly for owner-builders.

Camarillo rebuild questions
Who issues permits for a Mountain Fire rebuild?
It depends on the address. Ventura County issues permits for Mountain Fire rebuilds on unincorporated parcels, through its Building and Safety Division, and the City of Camarillo issues them inside city limits; the two run separate rebuild processes. County Line Electric files with whichever applies.
Does County Line Electric work on Mountain Fire rebuilds?
Yes. County Line Electric works as the electrical contractor on homes rebuilt after the November 2024 Mountain Fire in Camarillo Heights and the surrounding hills, from temporary power and the new Edison service through rough-in, finish and the final inspection.
